His animal songs are cranked, and he plays harmonica and guitar while browsing through his animal encyclopedia. This can go on for up to an hour or more…LOL.

Things have changed in this particular area of the house this week.
We did the big office/nursery move. Yesterday we moved our office from the main floor into the area you see in the photo…upstairs in the family room.

Today we pulled the baby furniture out of storage and moved it into what was the office.

I’ve been organizing. Finding new homes for things and trying to figure out where is the most practical place for everything. Not everything that was in the office before will be in the office now. It’s just not practical to have to run upstairs for certain things.
It will take some time to have everything in its place. Right now I’m sitting on the floor of the new “office” as I type.

The weather looks promising…should be good.

Heading out for 2 nights, but planning on leaving there early to be in church Sunday morning.

Looking forward to that too. With camping two weekends ago, the Harvest Festival service last Sunday, and being gone next weekend on holidays (yay!)….we’re starting to feel disconnected. Time to get “fed.”

I know there are prettier bags out there, but I like the fact it’s manly enough to be carried by John too. What do you think? (the black might be manlier??) I also like the fact that my honkin’ camera would fit.

My nursery is coming together….in my head that is.  We plan on moving our office upstairs into the family area which frees up a bedroom on the main floor for baby.  Hoping to do this in the next week or two. I’m excited to get going!

We’ve been back since Tuesday, but I haven’t made it back to blogging until now.  And guess what, I didn’t take a single photo while we were gone!! Not sure what was up with that. I try not to stress about capturing everything (especially when we’re on a trip), and I obviously was pretty relaxed this time around. LOL.

Camping was great though. We went to White Lake, about 3.5 hours from home. We did a lot of swimming, biked to Rainbow Falls a couple of times..both to wade in the falls as well as some fishing for Jonas, a few volleyball games and evenings around the fire. It got pretty hot towards the end and with unserviced sites and no air conditioning, sleeping at home that first night was a treat!

After we got home Jonas spent the next 2 days at Winkler Bible Camp. I think he absolutely loved it. One of the reasons being he had a male counsellor (Jonas loves hanging out with big kids) who seemed like a pretty awesome guy. Jonas seemed pretty attached to him. The groups were small…2 campers per big buddy which is perfect.  Their days were jam packed and J was so tired by the time I picked him up each evening that he was doing and saying some pretty funny things. Yesterday he told me the reason they have Bible Camp is because it’s more fun than reading the Bible.

Ok, I wasn’t expecting to be so long-winded. LOL.

With no camping photos to share I thought I’d share some house photos. I haven’t really posted a lot of them since we moved in. For the few of you that have asked, here is a start.

This is our upstairs bathroom, right now primarily used by Jonas. (Also upstairs is J’s bedroom, our family room, and the guest bedroom…so this is technically the guest bath too.)

The paint in this room is the darkest color in the house. It’s not dark at all…but I love things clean and airy. So to keep it feeling lighter, we went with white painted maple for the vanity and the matching framed mirror. It cleans like a dream.

Because this is the kid’s bathroom, I wanted to make it fun and a little funky too so I chose to do that with towels and accessories. (easy to change up in the future!)

We (John) put this blind up in here not so long ago. Just from Sears, but it does the job, and I like the texture it adds to the room.

We headed out to the family farm where it was so beautiful, so peaceful. I mentioned that I didn’t know a lot about farming so they kindly pointed a few things out to me…the cows, the tractor etc. Thanks guys! LOL.

Ok, onto a few photos. A mom, dad, and their little guy who was just one month shy of a year. He couldn’t have been more of a sweetheart!

2. Been to the pool in town twice this week. I don’t generally go there a lot, but J’s lessons are over at 1:30, so we’ve just been hitting the pool right after. He loves it and we’ve made good use of the warm weather.

3. We’ve consumed an embarrassing amount of coke floats this summer. We make them at home..and all 3 of us are addicted. I’m enjoying one as we speak.

4. Been basking in God’s goodness. It’s all around us. Little things bring so much pleasure….like a freshly mowed yard. Aaah. Even better after the rain washes the dust away.

5. I’ve been collecting little inspirations for the nursery. I’ve had an orange/pink/yellow combo running through my head….these fabrics caught my eye so far.  The wheels are turning!

The weekend is almost here…enjoy!

I’m thinking I could pass for 7 months, but hey, that’s going to have to be okay!  Healthy mama and healthy appetite make for healthy weight gain.

And as far as we know right now, a healthy baby. PTL!
