For those of you who were wondering, John was one of 20 men from our area that went on an 11 day trip to the Pan De Vida Orphanage in Queretaro, Mexico. It sounds like an amazing experience. I’m so happy he got to go, but we’re happy to have him back! You can read about their experiences here, and see a bunch of great photos here. I feel like a part of my heart is in Mexico now, and I didn’t even go on the trip!
Ok, I got around to taking a few photos of the house..in Jonas’ room at least. It’s been neat to see his space come together. His room is the most “finished” in the house..meaning he has furniture and a few things up on the walls.
Probably my favorite part about his room..this little nook where he can play.
The blue bins hold his duplo and his wooden train set. Up top is a little basket for his little treasures he tends to collect. The blue pig is his piggy bank.
On the low wall I mounted these 2 magnetic boards side by side. A place for him to display his artwork and other special things he likes to keep.
This print, along with the red one from his nook were ordered from an online store, Century Finds. The sock monkey was made by my friend Susi.
The nook is just to the right of the dresser.
So, there you go. A peek into his happy little space.
Happy Wednesday!
