Welcome here!

I am a wife, a mother, a photographer.

I love Jesus....my husband....and my sweet little boy.

I love seeing life through the lens.

I have a photo wall…

…and I think I like it! :)

On my mind for awhile has been this dining room wall and what to do with it.

It needed something that would bring life to the room. I wanted something a little fun, but there’s the side of me that likes everything “clean.”  After pondering it for a few weeks, I  finally decided a collection of frames was the way to go.  So, Monday evening (day of the snow storm) we headed to Walmart to check for frames. It wasn’t that I NEEDED the frames that day, but I was more than happy to get out after having been snowed in all day. ;)

I was pleasantly surprised to find frames there that I actually liked!  So, I brought home 9 frames of the same size, thinking I would do a symmetrical arrangement of 3 rows of 3 stacked on top of each other. Got them home, played around with them, and realized it didn’t look as great on the wall as in my head. So, after buying some smaller frames and keeping the middle 2 large ones, this is what I came up with.

Frames only:

(excuse the lighting!)

With photos:

(that’s my MCC plant in the corner. ;)   )

All photos in the frames by Marcy Penner. :)

The framed monogram is something I whipped up in photoshop when I was playing around with the photo arrangement. I was thinking a fun art print might be the way to go, but then came up with this and figured “why not?”

You know what the best part of it is? I didn’t put a single nail in the wall to hang these (or anything else in our house so far)! 3M strips are the way to go. (especially for a girl who changes her mind as often as I do.)

Thanks for stopping by…happy Thursday!

Mel - LOVE 3M strips! You can get them at Canadian Tire. They can hold up to 10 lbs if you use more on the frame. I love that it doesn't take the paint off!January 30, 2010 - 1:19 pm
